The Main Pavilion was the first building on the island taking some 5 years to complete. It is resplendent in centre stage on the island and features a library, bar, fireplace, wine cellar, day bed, lounge, dining area, 2 bathrooms, loft, observation deck, kitchen, cold store, communications system, medical supplies. It is large building constructed of big poles heavy beams & rafters a thatched roof with 12 inch thick Alang Alang grass imported from Bali. Driftwood has been skilfully used to support heavy polished timber benches. Every nook and cranny contains an eye catching relic from the husk of a Papuan Canoe to ancient dinner gong and crocodile head. This is where the guests congregate around the stone fireplace on the deck as meals of virtuosity and sublime freshness (invariably freshly caught seafood) are prepared on the open fire.
